Where our numbers come from

Last updated 20 August 2026

Every figure on this product comes from one of the two feeds below. This page states what each one covers, how old it can be when you read it, and what it does not cover. The gaps are on the page with the same weight as the coverage.

Liquidations

Bybit — allLiquidation stream, bybit-linear

We record Bybit's full liquidation stream — the allLiquidation topic, which carries every print. The throttled public topic that aggregators scrape emits at most one print per second per symbol, so anything built on it is a sample of the tape, not the tape.

Binance — USDT-perpetual official daily dumps

What this data is not

One venue, so a floor and never a total

The liquidation tape is bybit-linear only. It is a floor on liquidations at one venue. It is not a market total, and no number derived from it should be read as one.

A permanent 66-hour hole in July 2026

An infrastructure failure stopped the recorder for 66 hours in July 2026. That window is gone and cannot be backfilled — the full stream is not replayable after the fact. Any window spanning those hours is missing liquidations, permanently.

Nothing here is a probability or a forecast

No number on this product is a probability or a forecast unless it is labelled calibrated. Nothing currently is. The liquidation model carries “estimate — calibration in progress” until its pre-registered evaluation clears, and it keeps that label until then regardless of how well it appears to be doing.

How often it runs

Liquidation tape
Recorded continuously and sealed into hourly files.
Analysis passes
Run half-hourly, on completed bars only. A bar that is still forming is never scored, so a result never moves after you have read it.
Daily history
Ingested as Binance publishes it, T+1. Each surface displays the age of the data behind it rather than presenting stale figures as current.

Why the full stream

Exchanges' throttled public liquidation feeds are known to undercount: the CoinGlass–Binance dispute of October 2025 turned on exactly that. It is why we tap the full stream instead.
