Nova
Pre-launch draft

Terms of Service

Last updated 11 August 2026

This is a pre-launch draft written by the Nova team, not by a lawyer. It describes what the product actually does today so that nobody agrees to something invented. It is going to a qualified lawyer for review before public launch, and the reviewed version will replace this page.

These terms cover your use of Nova — the website, the app and the API behind them. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

1.What Nova is, and what it is not

Nova is a social network and analytics product for traders. You can post, follow other members, keep watchlists, save market setups, book mentoring sessions and read market data we collect from public exchange feeds.

We are not a broker, a dealer, an exchange, a fund or an investment adviser. We do not place, route, mirror or execute trades, we do not hold your money or your assets, and we have no connection to any brokerage account of yours. Every trade you make, you make yourself, somewhere else.

2.Nothing here is investment advice

Everything on Nova — posts, signals, setups, scores, mentoring, chat answers, anything a model generated — is information and opinion. None of it is advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell anything. It is not tailored to you, your finances or your risk tolerance, and we have not assessed whether any of it is suitable for you.

Trading is risky and leveraged trading can lose you more than you put in. You are responsible for your own decisions and your own losses. If you need advice, get it from someone licensed to give it in your country.

3.This is a pre-launch beta

The product is unfinished and you should treat it that way. Features appear, change and disappear. Screens can break. We may reset data during the beta, and while we do not plan to, you should not treat Nova as the only copy of anything you care about.

Several screens still show illustrative sample numbers rather than live market data. Every one of them carries a visible label saying so. If a screen is not labelled, the numbers on it are real; if it is labelled, they are placeholders for layout and nothing on that screen should be traded on.

4.Your account

You need an account to use most of the product. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.

Give us a handle and display name that are yours to use. Impersonating another trader, a firm or one of our staff will get the account removed.

Signing out signs you out everywhere: it invalidates every session on every device, not just the one you are using.

5.What the badges mean today

The verified badge and the P&L figures shown on a profile are entered by us, not computed from a broker feed. We do not connect to your exchange or broker today, so nothing on the platform independently confirms that any published track record is real.

Automated verification — read-only exchange APIs, fills checked against the venue — is planned, and it is a separate release with its own security review. Until it ships, treat every published record as a claim by the person who made it.

6.What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store, display and distribute it inside the product so that the product can work — showing your post in the feed is the whole point of posting it.

Posts, comments, your handle, your display name, your profile and your badges are public. Assume anything you put there can be read, screenshotted and reposted by anybody.

  • Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, harassing or hateful.
  • Do not post other people's personal information, or content you have no right to publish.
  • Do not coordinate to move a market — pumps, ramps and organised manipulation get you removed.
  • Do not present a fabricated track record or someone else's results as your own.
  • Do not scrape, hammer or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to build a competing dataset.
  • Do not run bots or automated accounts without asking us first.

7.Money, credits and paid features

Nova is free today. There is no card payment path in the product — no card processor is connected, so nothing on the platform can charge you.

Credits are an internal balance used for mentoring bookings and paid webinars. They are not money, not a currency and not redeemable for cash. When you book a mentoring session the credits are held until the session completes, is cancelled or is resolved through a dispute.

Paid subscription tiers are described in the product and are not chargeable yet. When card payments do open, prices, billing cycles, renewal and refund terms will be set out before you are asked for a card, and these terms will be updated first.

8.Mentoring and webinars

Mentoring sessions and webinars are run by members, not by us. We handle the booking and hold the credits; we do not supervise the session, guarantee its quality, or stand behind anything said in it.

If a session does not happen or goes wrong, open a dispute from your bookings and we will look at it. Our role is limited to deciding what happens to the credits held for that booking.

9.Suspension and removal

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that puts other members at risk, or that we are required to act on. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

You can have your account deleted at any time by asking us — there is no self-service delete button in the product yet, so today it is an email. Deletion is refused while a mentoring booking of yours is still open on either side, because closing the account mid-booking would strand credits that are owed to somebody. Finish, cancel or resolve those first.

10.Availability and liability

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and during the beta it will sometimes be none of those.

Market data comes from public exchange feeds and third-party sources. It can be late, wrong or missing, and we do not warrant that any number on the platform is accurate. Do not use it as your only input to a trade.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Nova. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11.Changes to these terms

We will update this page when the product changes, and the date at the top will change with it. For a change that materially affects you we will tell you in the product or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Nova after that means you accept the new version.

12.Still to be settled

Two things are deliberately not stated here yet, because they are not decided and a guess would be worse than a gap: the legal entity that operates Nova, and the governing law and forum for any dispute. Both will be named on this page as part of the legal review, before public launch.
